I'm happy to see that an asatru tribe has been started. I just want to start with some basic information about my relationship with the Norse pantheon. Two things converged about two years ago that brought me to the point where I am now a hammer wearing heathen. The first and simplest is that I began researching my family history in earnest (my mother is Swedish) and Scandinavian culture and history. The second is that my work as a ceremonial mage had reached a point where I was not progressing very much. The Tarot never really worked for me as a divination tool and I was getting frustrated. The real breakthrough came when I started using the runes. I have been taking the rune class from Dianna Paxson since February and doing my rituals using information from Dianna and Edred Thorsson and others. I hope this gets the ball rolling.
